Blackford Falls to Greenwood Christian in Consolation Game

The Blackford Bruins came up short in the third-place game of the Shenandoah Holiday Tournament, falling 51-43 to Greenwood Christian on Saturday. The loss drops Blackford to 5-4 on the season as they prepare for the next phase of their schedule.

Mari Leggett led the Bruins with 20 points, continuing his strong offensive form throughout the tournament. Gage Baker added 10 points, while Jacob Leas chipped in 7. Reggie Duran scored 2 points, with Mason Kitterman and Kentral Toomer contributing 1 point apiece.

Despite staying competitive, the Bruins couldn’t overcome Greenwood Christian’s balanced attack in the second half.
