Crossroad of Champions Announces Partnership with Opendorse

Crossroad of Champions, the Name, Image & Likeness (NIL) collective supporting Indiana State University student-athletes, today announced a partnership with Opendorse, the leading NIL platform and service provider, to elevate their operations for Sycamore student-athletes and staff.

Led by Todd Hein, president of Labor Link staffing firm, John Newton, former executive director of the Indiana State University Foundation, and James Twitchell, former Indiana State student-athlete and advisor for EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, Crossroad of Champions will continue making an impact for its roster of Sycamores through direct memberships, community engagement, and corporate partnerships with well-known companies like Culver’s.

“I’m excited about our new partnerships,” Newton said. “I’m looking forward to working together with Sycamore alumni and friends to support our coaches and student -athletes!”

To facilitate a streamlined experience for all parties – athletes, administrators, supporters, and collective leadership – Crossroad of Champions will utilize Opendorse to pitch, fulfill, and pay every NIL activation. Athletes receive all deals directly to their mobile app, including deliverables and payment through the Opendorse Wallet.  Through Auto-Disclose technology, NIL activities are securely tracked and reported to Indiana State Athletics to ensure appropriate visibility and support.

“We are pleased to have Crossroads of Champion partner with Opendorse as it adds to the list of ways our fans can get involved in helping support our student-athletes,” Indiana State University Director of Athletics Nathan Christensen said. “Along with donating to Crossroads of Champion, plus the ability to use the Opendorse Marketplace and connect directly with student-athletes, our fans have a multitude of ways to make an impact for both our student-athletes and our community. NIL support is critical, and we encourage our fans to get involved however they are able.”

On their end, Crossroad of Champions utilize Opendorse Payments™ and Opendorse Contracts™ to send and track contracts, equipped with robust tools for reporting and analysis. Opendorse handles all tax document preparation and distribution.

“We’re excited to hit the ground running with Crossroad of Champions,” said Opendorse Co-Founder & President, Collegiate Operations Blake Lawrence. “With the support of Athletics, they are already making a difference for Sycamore athletes and fans, and that impact will grow with streamlined operations through Opendorse. Not only will they get the best tools, but they’ll have great service and resources from our team. There are big things happening in the Indiana State market and we’re excited to be part of it.”

Businesses, donors, and community members are invited to partner with Crossroad of Champions to support current and future Sycamore athletes. Whether it’s through sponsorships, event collaborations, or mentorship opportunities, there are countless ways to make a meaningful impact.
