Fort Wayne FC is pleased to announce the hiring of Garrett Martz as Director of Corporate Partnerships. Martz, 43, will oversee the sale of season and single-game tickets, group sales and relationships with the corporate community.
“It is such an exciting time to be living in Fort Wayne and I am honored to be a part of growing another sports franchise in this city,” Martz said.
A native of Fort Wayne, Martz has more than 17 years of experience in professional sports, including 10 years with the Mad Ants professional basketball team. He ascended from Account Executive to Vice President of Sales and Marketing with the NBA G League franchise, overseeing steady growth in attendance and revenue, managing the sales staff, and developing marketing initiatives for television, radio, and other mediums.
Since 2017, Martz has been a Vice President and Partner with Potter Sports Group, an agency that represents professional basketball players. Martz has built relationships with players and coaches, negotiated sponsorship deals, and implemented marketing and social media strategies.
“I am a Fort Wayne guy through and through, so I am beyond excited to join the staff of Fort Wayne FC,” said Martz, a graduate of Trine University. “I have had the itch to get back on the team side of things for a couple years now. So, when Fort Wayne FC’s Chief Operations Officer, Scott Sproat, called me with this opportunity I had to jump on it.”
Fort Wayne FC will announce its 2025 schedule in the coming weeks.
