Fountain Central Girls’ Wrestling capped off its inaugural season with five athletes competing in the first-ever IHSAA Girls’ Regional Wrestling Tournament.
The Lady Mustangs were represented by Lydia Perkins, Ruby Deel, Amira Welles, Savanna Richardson, and Araya Brown, showcasing their hard work and dedication throughout the season. Perkins and Deel earned sectional championships at Crawfordsville the previous week, while Perkins, Deel, and Richardson were recognized as All-WRC selections.
The program’s first season was marked by success and excitement, with the wrestlers and coaches setting a strong foundation for the future of girls’ wrestling at Fountain Central.
