The Greenfield Central Cougars captured the championship of the Lebanon Holiday Tournament with a decisive victory over Lafayette Jefferson on Saturday. The Cougars showcased a balanced attack and dominant rebounding performance to secure the title.
Madison Sonsini led the way offensively with 15 points and added a game-high 12 rebounds, earning her double-double honors. Izzy Silcox also delivered a strong all-around performance with 13 points, nine rebounds, and two steals.
Chaney Brown contributed eight points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and a steal, while Juliann Jones added five points and seven rebounds to round out the Cougars’ impressive effort on the boards.
Greenfield Central’s tenacity and teamwork proved pivotal as they outlasted Lafayette Jefferson to bring home the tournament trophy. The Cougars will look to carry their momentum into the next phase of the season.
