The 16-2 Greenfield Central Cougars captured the Hoosier Heritage Conference championship, extending their conference winning streak to 20 games and becoming the first team to repeat as undefeated conference champions.
Senior Dallas Freeman led the victory with 20 points and 8 rebounds, shooting 7-11 from the field. Mikey Johnson contributed 14 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds, while point guard Boston Willard delivered 5 assists.
The Cougars, unbeaten in conference play since 2022, defeated Delta despite the Eagles’ defensive focus on Braylon Mullins. The team next hosts Greenwood on Saturday, Franklin Central on Tuesday, and Lawrence Central on Friday for the Cancer Awareness game.
