Greenfield Central Dominates Rushville, Mullins Sets 3-Point Record

The Greenfield Central Cougars showcased their dominance on both ends of the court Tuesday night, cruising to a decisive 67-21 victory over the Rushville Lions. The Cougars shot an impressive 57 percent from the field, forced 28 turnovers, and held Rushville to single-digit scoring in every quarter.

Senior Braylon Mullins led the charge with 29 points, five steals, two assists, and a rebound in under three quarters. Mullins also made history in the first half, hitting a three-pointer to become Greenfield Central’s all-time leader in made three-point field goals, surpassing Dylan Moles. Mullins now sits atop the list, followed by Moles and Tate Hall.

Mikey Johnson delivered a standout performance with 14 points on perfect shooting, eight assists, and three steals. Dallas Freeman added six points, including two three-pointers, along with two rebounds, two steals, and an assist. Boston Willard contributed across the board with five points, four assists, and five steals, while Brady Johnson chipped in five points, two steals, and an assist.

Other scorers for Greenfield Central included Cole Mullins, Cooper Robertson, Malachi Van, and Tucker Brown.

With the win, the Cougars improve to 8-2 on the season and turn their attention to a marquee matchup against the 8-1 Mt. Vernon Marauders on Friday, January 10th, in a key Hoosier Heritage Conference contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Mt. Vernon.
