The Greenfield-Central Cougars outscored the Falcons in three of four quarters Tuesday night, earning a decisive win behind a balanced offensive and defensive effort.
Four Cougars scored in double figures, with Madison Sonsini leading the way with 16 points. Chaney Brown and Brooklyn McConnell added 12 points each, while Izzy Silcox chipped in 10. Josie White anchored the team on the boards with 5 rebounds.
The Cougars’ defensive pressure was key, as the team tallied 16 steals and 18 deflections. McConnell led with 5 steals, while Silcox contributed 4.
Greenfield-Central will look to continue its strong play next Tuesday (Jan. 14) at Anderson, with JV tipping off at 6 p.m. and varsity to follow.
