The Wabash Lady Apaches secured a spot in the Wabash County Tournament championship game with a 54-46 victory over Northfield on Friday night. The win improves Wabash to 10-3 on the season as they prepare to face Manchester in the final on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Southwood.
Wabash held a slim three-point lead at halftime, but Northfield quickly tied the game early in the third quarter. The Lady Apaches responded with a decisive run to regain the lead and maintained control for the remainder of the contest.
Kait Honeycutt led the Lady Apaches offensively with 20 points, while Bryleigh Boggs posted a double-double, contributing 12 points and 12 rebounds to help secure the victory.
The Lady Apaches will look to claim the tournament title on Saturday as they take on a strong Manchester team in the championship game.
