The New Prairie High School girls’ swim team secured multiple event qualifications for Saturday’s IHSAA Sectional Finals at Penn High School, with strong performances across several events.
The Lady Cougars will return to competition with representatives in nearly every event, including a third-place finish in both the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay.
Standout individual performances include Ava Lux, who qualified fifth in the 200 Free and 100 Fly, and Olivia Reffo, who placed sixth in the 100 Breast.
Nine swimmers recorded new season-best times, including Addasyn Blosser, Mikaela Clash, Jill Firanek, Maddie Long, Ava Lux, Shelby Newgent, Olivia Reffo, Kenzie Waltz, Mikaela Wilson, and Chloe Woodrick.
The Sectional Finals begin Saturday at 8 a.m. CST with diving, with swimming events starting at noon central time.
