Lady Indians Fall Short in Tight Conference Matchup

The Union City Lady Indians battled until the final moments but came up short in a 42-35 loss to the Union County Patriots in a closely contested conference matchup.

The game remained tight throughout, with both teams trading leads. With two minutes remaining, the Patriots held a slim lead, but the Lady Indians fought back. Key free throws from Ava Reichard and Kerns brought the Indians within one point. However, the team was unable to close the gap as Union County held on for the win.

The Lady Indians were led by Oaklee Reichard, who scored 17 points and added 3 assists. Mote contributed 9 points to the effort.

The Lady Indians will look to bounce back on Tuesday when they travel to face Mississinawa Valley.
