Lady Squires Fall to Wabash Despite Strong Effort

The Manchester Lady Squires fell 57-38 in a tough road matchup against Wabash on Saturday. Despite a strong defensive effort, early offensive struggles proved costly for Manchester.

The Lady Squires found themselves in an 11-2 hole after the first quarter but battled back to cut the lead during the second. Wabash regained momentum in the third quarter with a key scoring run that Manchester couldn’t overcome.

Emma Walker led Manchester with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals, while Peyton Ream added 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Lacy Trump, Allie Egolf, and Molly Schannep each chipped in 3 points.

Defensively, Hadley West recorded 5 steals, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists, while Ream added a block to her stat line. The Lady Squires showed resilience throughout but couldn’t match Wabash’s third-quarter surge.

Manchester will look to bounce back on Tuesday when they face North Miami in their next matchup.
