The LaPorte Slicer Girls Wrestling team secured a 7th-place finish out of 15 teams in the sectional tournament over the weekend.
Cienna Jordan, Aubrey Tanksley, and Autumn Vermette each claimed fifth place in their respective weight classes, earning alternate spots for the upcoming semi-state. Leah Williamson advanced to the regional round by finishing third.
Aubrey Klettke and Anastasia O’Shea both wrestled their way to second-place finishes, securing their places in the semi-state competition.
The Slicers will return to action on Friday at the Goshen Semi-State, with matches starting at 9 a.m.
