The Manchester boys swim team earned a hard-fought victory over Lewis Cass, winning 80-69 on the strength of six individual victories and sweeping all three relays.

Cale Bennett and Jet Thomas led the way, each claiming two individual wins and contributing to two relay victories. Bennett secured first place in the 100 Butterfly (59.44) and 500 Freestyle (5:53.83), while Thomas won the 200 IM (2:36.93) and 100 Breaststroke (1:17.60). Gabe Selleck also claimed an individual win in the 50 Freestyle (27.33).

The relay teams dominated, with Bennett, Thomas, Selleck, and Cam Peacock teaming up to take first in the 200 Medley Relay (1:58.47) and 400 Freestyle Relay (4:04.18). The Comets also had the fastest swimmer in two events competing as an exhibition, with Cris Agudo posting top times in the 200 IM (2:15.89) and 100 Backstroke (1:01.87).

“This was a great team effort,” said Manchester’s coach. “The boys delivered in key events, and their hard work showed in the pool tonight.”

The Squires will look to continue their momentum on Wednesday when they travel to Wabash to face the Apaches.
