The Manchester Squires continued their impressive season with a commanding 72-33 win over Northwestern on Wednesday night, improving to 9-1. After a slow start that saw them trailing 6-2, the Squires erupted with a 28-0 run to take control and entered halftime with a commanding 50-15 lead.
Manchester’s offense was firing on all cylinders, led by Gavin Betten with a game-high 23 points. Ethan Hendrix added 21 points, while Tallon Torpy contributed 11 to round out the top scorers.
The Squires’ relentless pace and defensive pressure proved too much for Northwestern, as Manchester cruised through the second half to secure the victory.
Manchester will look to keep their momentum going as they travel to Fort Wayne Canterbury on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
