Manchester Falls to Northwestern Amid Offensive Struggles

The Manchester Lady Squires couldn’t overcome shooting woes as they fell to Northwestern 47-33 on Monday night. Shooting just 20 percent from the field, Manchester struggled to find rhythm offensively, allowing Northwestern to take control in the second quarter and never relinquish the lead.

Despite several attempted runs, the Lady Squires couldn’t get key shots to fall, leaving them unable to mount a comeback. Northwestern capitalized on Manchester’s struggles, holding them at bay throughout the second half.

Allie Egolf led Manchester with nine points, five rebounds, and two assists. Emma Walker contributed seven points, six rebounds, and three steals, while Hadley West added six points, four rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Peyton Ream chipped in with six points and four rebounds.

The Lady Squires will look to bounce back next week as they hit the road to face Churubusco on Wednesday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
