Ava Sautter’s clutch three-pointer with eight seconds remaining lifted the Manchester Lady Squires to a dramatic 39-38 victory over North Miami on Tuesday night.
Manchester built a commanding 25-12 halftime lead before North Miami mounted a comeback, taking the lead late in the fourth quarter. With 25 seconds left and trailing by two, Peyton Ream’s crucial steal set up Sautter’s game-winning shot.
Molly Schannep led all scorers with a career-high 15 points for Manchester. Sautter and Olivia Stevens each added six points, while Ream and Hadley West contributed five points apiece. West and Sautter dominated the glass with six rebounds each.
The Lady Squires will host Rochester on Saturday for Senior Night, with senior recognition ceremonies scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m.
