North Vermillion Boys Swim Team Secures Victory Over Attica

The North Vermillion High School boys swim team claimed a hard-fought 63-52 victory over Attica on Wednesday, while the girls team faced tough losses against Seeger (81-22) and Attica (64-24). The boys also battled Seeger but fell short, 83-40.

Event Highlights:

•Boys 200 Medley Relay: 1st vs. Attica, 2nd vs. Seeger (2:18.19).

•200 Freestyle: Personal records for Brandon Miller (2:32.73) and Brady Dryer (2:33.60).

•50 Freestyle: Austin Ball clinched 1st against Attica with 27.49; Riley Smith set a personal record (31.76).

•100 Butterfly: Marki Chambliss won 1st vs. both Attica and Seeger (1:30.16).

•100 Freestyle: Brady Dryer took 1st vs. Attica with a personal record of 1:05.93.

•Boys 200 Freestyle Relay: 1st vs. Attica, 2nd vs. Seeger (1:56.23, PR).

•100 Backstroke: Emery Strubinger secured 1st against both Attica and Seeger (1:14.32, PR).

•100 Breaststroke: Strong swims from Owen Hazelwood (1:40.65) and Taylor Norton (1:56.89, PR).

•Boys 400 Freestyle Relay: 1st vs. Attica, 2nd vs. Seeger (4:32.99, narrowly missing a PR).

The Falcons showcased significant improvements, with multiple personal records set throughout the meet.

Upcoming Events:

The Falcons host their final regular-season meet on Monday, January 20, against South Vermillion. They will then prepare for the Wabash River Conference Championships, beginning Thursday, January 23.
