Plymouth Defeats Concord 41-30 in NLC Showdown

The Plymouth High School girls varsity basketball team earned a decisive 41-30 victory over Concord in a Northern Lakes Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Pilgrims improved to 12-6 overall and 3-2 in the NLC, while Concord fell to 7-11 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

Plymouth set the tone early, jumping out to an 18-7 lead in the first quarter, fueled by three-point shooting from Tynley Gantz and Chloe Horton and strong interior play by Sophie Miller. Plymouth’s defense held Concord to 10 points below their season average, making every shot difficult for the Lady Minutemen.

Chloe Horton led Plymouth with 10 points and 4 rebounds, while Sophie Miller added 9 points and 6 rebounds. Lena Jones stuffed the stat sheet with 8 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Tynley Gantz contributed 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 steals in the win.

Plymouth will return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 21, hosting St. Joseph, weather permitting.
