Plymouth Lady Pilgrims Defeat LaPorte 59-33

The Plymouth Lady Pilgrims dominated in a non-conference matchup against LaPorte on Tuesday night, securing a decisive 59-33 victory over the winless Lady Slicers.

Plymouth (11-6, 2-2 NLC) came out strong in the first quarter, putting up 22 points. Their defense tightened in the second quarter, holding LaPorte (0-16) to just four points and taking a 34-18 lead into halftime.

Junior Lena Jones led all scorers with 16 points while filling the stat sheet with five assists, seven rebounds, and four steals. Sophie Miller added 13 points and three steals, while Chloe Horton contributed 12 points and four rebounds. The duo of Horton and Mady Sullivan combined for six three-pointers.

All 11 players on Plymouth’s roster saw playing time in the victory. Tynley Gantz rounded out the scoring leaders with nine points and three rebounds.

The Lady Pilgrims return to Northern Lakes Conference play on Saturday, January 18, hosting Concord.
