The Manchester Squires continued their impressive season with a 68-55 road victory over Canterbury, improving to 9-1.
The Squires built a commanding 20-point lead in the third quarter before Canterbury mounted a late run to trim the deficit to eight in the fourth. However, timely three-pointers by Tallon Torpy and Ethan Hendrix helped Manchester maintain a double-digit advantage and secure the win.
Gavin Betten delivered a standout performance, recording a big double-double with 31 points and over 10 rebounds. Ethan Hendrix added 19 points, and Torpy contributed 9 to the balanced offensive effort. Additional scorers included Aaron Reid (5), Carter Wagoner (3), and Kaleb Kline (1).
The Squires return to action at home on Saturday for a conference matchup against Lewis Cass. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
