Anderson University men’s track and field senior Michael Sweigart has repeated as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Throws Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Sweigart earned his second HCAC Throws Athlete-of-the-Week award this season. Debuting this season, the HCAC split the Field Athlete-of-the-Week award into Throws Athlete of the Week and Jumps Athlete of the Week. Prior to this year, the Alexandria native has been named HCAC Field Athlete of the Week three times in his career during the indoor season and twice in his career during the outdoor season.
The Ravens competed in the Wildcat Open in Marion last Friday.
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES
- Weight Throw – 19.04 meters (62 feet, 5.75 inches) – 1st Place – Personal Record – Ranks 5th in NCAA D-III
- Shot Put – 14.73 meters (48 feet, 4 inches) – 5th Place Overall – 4th in College Division

Anderson hosts the AU Invite on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. in the Kardatzke Wellness Center. The Ravens also celebrate Senior Day with the ceremony beginning at 12:30 p.m.
