Sycamores announce Hulman Center Security Enhancements

Hulman Center and the Indiana State University Police Department will introduce a walk-through security screening system at the Hulman Center starting on Thursday, January 30, and carrying through the remainder of the 2025 basketball seasons.

The addition of a security screening system will also help the Sycamore Clear Bag Policy as Indiana State follows suit with many stadiums and sporting venues around the country, both at the collegiate and professional levels.

The security screening system will be deployed outside of all facility entrances. Anyone entering Hulman Center is subject to screening before scanning their game tickets.

Fans will not have to empty their clear bags or pockets, and will not have to place cell phones, keys, money or other belongings to the side because the state-of-art security screening system is designed to be completely pass through. The technology from CEIA OpenGate provides automatic screening for fast and easy gate entrance flow. If the alarm sounds, fans proceed to an area immediately adjacent to the initial checkpoint and will be checked separately with a security wand.

Opportunities at other athletic venues will be evaluated at a later time.
