Indiana State women’s swimming and diving was selected as one of the 2024 Fall CSCAA Fall Scholar All-American teams as announced by the organization earlier this month.
The Sycamores were one of 781 teams from 459 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team recognized for the Fall 2024 semester. These teams, representing a total of 19,209 student-athletes, were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester.
In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2024 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 654 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above, earning eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA, commented on the impressive accomplishments, saying, “The commitment to academic excellence demonstrated by these teams is truly admirable. It is inspiring to see student-athletes excel both in the pool and in the classroom. The CSCAA takes great pride in honoring and celebrating their dedication and achievements.
The CSCAA extends its congratulations to all the teams and student-athletes on their remarkable achievements in the classroom during the Fall 2024 semester. This commitment to excellence is a testament to the student-athletes’ dedication to both their sport and academic pursuits.
