Warriors Hit the Century Mark in Big Win Over UMD

The Indiana Tech men’s basketball team traveled to Dearborn, Michigan, on Wednesday evening to compete with the University of Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines. The Warriors put on a dominant display, hitting the century mark in the 100-58 victory.

The Wolverines opened the game with a 4-0 lead, but some quick work from Tech, including a triple from Blake Davison at the 17:22 mark saw the Orange and Black go in front and never look back. Davison’s three kickstarted a 16-3 run which gave the Warriors their first double-digit lead of the evening. The Warriors offense, led by Davison’s 15 points and Brady Titus’ 11, continued to score in bunches in the final ten minutes of the first half, while the defense limited the hosts to just nine field goals in the half, carrying a 51-28 lead into the break. Not much changed for the Warriors in the second half as they maintained their control of the game. Led by Jaxson Fugate’s 11 points and Nigel Martin’s 10, the Warriors tallied 49 points in the half to hit the century mark, while the defense held the hosts to 30 points in the half, securing the 100-58 victory.

Brady Titus led the Warriors with 16 points, two rebounds, and four assists. Blake Davison and Nigel Martin both tallied 15 points. Jaxson Fugate posted 14 points, two rebounds, and one assist. Crew Gibson added 11 points, nine rebounds, and a team-high six assists.

The Warriors are 18-5 on the season and sit at 15-1 in conference play. Tech hosts Northwestern Ohio in their next contest on Wednesday, February 12. Tip-off with the Racers is set for 8:00 p.m.
