Warsaw faced a tough challenge in the championship game of the Richmond Tournament, falling to Bishop Luers 67-53. Despite a strong start that saw both teams tied at 18 after the first quarter, the Tigers struggled to keep up with the Knights’ offensive efficiency. Bishop Luers capitalized on Warsaw’s turnovers and dominated second-chance opportunities, led by standout performances from Dereon Truedale and Drelyn Truesdale, who each scored 20 points. Brandt Martin paced the Tigers with 18 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Knights’ balanced attack. Warsaw will look to rebound in their next matchup against Purdue Polytechnic.

Game 2: Round 2 – Warsaw 54, Purdue Polytechnic 46
The Warsaw Tigers bounced back with a resilient 54-46 victory over Purdue Polytechnic in the second round at Earlham College. Warsaw’s defense proved critical, holding the Techies to just 32.7% shooting from the field. Mydin Burgher and Brandt Martin each contributed 10 points, while Carson Gould added a solid all-around performance with 5 points and 7 rebounds. The Tigers controlled the boards with a 36-28 advantage and found key baskets down the stretch to secure the win.
