The JV and Varsity Lady Rocks basketball teams delivered stellar performances at the Lauren Hill Classic, earning decisive victories against East Central and Lawrenceburg.
In the JV division, the Lady Rocks secured the tournament championship with two commanding wins. They defeated East Central 42-36 in a hard-fought game, pulling away in the second half behind 12 points each from Lizzy Foster and Paisley Crawford. Later, a dominant defensive effort powered the Rocks to a 49-16 victory over Lawrenceburg, led by Adley Russell’s 17 points and another 13 from Lizzy Foster.
The Varsity Lady Rocks showcased their strength with a 44-28 win over East Central, fueled by a balanced offensive attack. Meg Hamilton led with 11 points, while Lindsey Van Dyke added 9, and Sam Price chipped in 7. In their second game, the Lady Rocks cruised to a 53-30 victory over host Lawrenceburg, with Sam Price scoring 16 points and Lindsey Van Dyke adding 11. Price and Van Dyke earned All-Tournament Team honors, with Price named MVP.
The Lady Rocks return to action on Jan. 8 at home against Bishop Chatard.
